The school system determines the quality of the future society. Schools are not meant to provide the knowledge of three Rs only but are expected to equip the children with competitiveness, high aspiration, goal setting, Computer Literacy, Indian Values and Learning to learn, so as to develop a personality befitting the global society in which they are to live.
These concerns of children can be taken care of by a deep insight into the content and the Co-curricular Activities to bring out the specific desired attributes that can be developed through the school program in an integrated manner. It can be achieved by building an innovative climate in the school to facilitate the development of personality through school assignments, projects, competition and celebrations etc. Students also find such an environment motivating and exciting.
Parents’ support to the school efforts for the personality growth of their wards will go a long way in shaping their career and helping them to become good citizens. The ultimate responsibility however, lies with the student who can achieve it with hard work and commitment.
The whole task needs the collaboration of the efforts of teacher’s parents and the children themselves. |
